La Guanaquita

My boyfriend took me here for lunch randomly and it’s now one of our favourite restaurants in the GTA. The food was amazing, service was great and portions were huge.

La Guanaquita is a regular spot for me. I go probably once or twice a month. Their beef tacos and pupusas are unmatched. The quality of the food is amazing. The people who work here are so friendly and sweet. I’ve dined in and done take out and have never once been disappointed.

La Guanaquita knocked it out of the park! Since moving to brampton 2 years ago, I would go back to Toronto for pupusas. Gave La Guanaquita a try, and we were not disappointed! The price absolutely reflected the quality of their product. Absolutely recommend

Corn tamales were delicious and rich. The texture was well-cooked. El Salvador pupusas were very well done and you can not argue the fact it's a specialty. Service was welcoming. Recommend to others.

This place was very authentic, from the music to the food to the over all atmosphere. Ordered the pupusas after seeing many reviews about how delicious they were and not one lie was told! I got the queso con pollo and that queso was to die for! Perfect amount of crisp to the pupusas and just the right amount of curtido to add on top. The yuca con chicharron was our appetizer which we didn’t need considering how big the pupusas were, however it was tasty nonetheless. Will definitely come back to this place again!

First time trying and will definitely be back! Great customer service, the staff were super friendly. We came just before a lunch rush. We got the yuca con chicharron which was crispy and tender, as well as the pupusa revueltas (queso y chicarron) - with the coleslaw and salsa .. delicious!! Some of the best pupusas we’ve tried. Definitely recommend.

Food was beyond expectations, great customer service. Love that it is family owned so they really make your food with the love of God. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area… I live in mississauga and I most definitely go out of my way to come down here to enjoy some authentic homemade food. I would make this my last meal request if I was on deathrow or if the world was ending. God bless this business and may God continue to provide for them to stay in business

First time trying this place and it was an overall great experience. The food was a 10/10. We tried a couple things on the menu, The yuca con chicharron, chicken tamale, chicken and cheese pupusas, and the mixed plate. The food was perfectly cooked and the meat was flavourful and tender. Not only was the food amazing but the hospitality and atmosphere made me feel like I was at home, the waiter helped us navigate the menu with ease explaining what everything was, and also gave us complimentary drinks of Horchata and fresco ensalada which were refreshing and light. On our way out we were looking at the sweet desserts that have, and the worker offered us one on the house. I would definitely be coming back here again and making sure my friends and family know about this place too.
